Nightmare Busters (3TG Nov 2025)
This is our submission for the Three Things Game Jam at The University of Hull. Our 3 themes were: Dreaming, Visiting and Mayhem.
This is an action arcade style game about surviving a nightmare filled dreamscape, finding upgrades and setting high scores.
Since the game was developed in a short time (3 days), please excuse and report any design issues, unadjusted UI elements, or other bugs you may encounter.
We're looking forward to your feedback!
Controls:
Up, Down, Left, Right / W, A, S, D: Movement.
Left Shift: Sprint.
Left Mouse: Vacuum suction.
Right Mouse: Vacuum blowout.
Mouse: Aim and Interact with the building placement elements and upgrading system.
The game also supports controllers.
Gameplay:
- You can use your vacuum gun to suck in the nightmares with the left click, and with right click blow them back at other ghosts.
- Red ghosts can be sucked in, the green ghosts cannot, you can kill both ghosts by blowing ghosts back at them.
- You make money by killing ghosts, use this money to create tower defense systems that will help you survive.
- When you kill enemies with blow-back attacks you will see a slot machine system that will award you with a random power-up.
- Try to survive as long as you can!
