Orbit Surfer (GMTK 2025)

This is one of the two projects I worked on and submitted for GMTK 2025 Game Jam. It's a small action arcade style game about looping orbits, hopping planet to planet and surviving hazards, hunger, and the vastness of space.

Since the game was developed in a short time, please excuse and report any design issues, unadjusted UI elements, or other bugs you may encounter.

Controls:

Space: Ascend in Orbit

Left CTRL: Descend in Orbit

Up Arrow: Speed Up in Orbit

Down Arrow: Slow Down in Orbit

R: Restart level

Gameplay:

• You automatically orbit/loop around planets
• You can hop planets by exiting your orbit.
• If you don't find another planet soon you'll die.
• Avoid obstacles and eat Goobies (the green non-sentient planet sized aliens) to fill up your hunger, find all Goobies to end the game.
